I like to listen to Moody Radio's program discover the word. They have been discussing the issue of covetousness...
Today they mentioned how covetouness "is so common and so much a part of our being that it seems as natural as breathing" That we don't notice... Rom.7:7-9
When it comes to social issues of poverty, homelessness, ect. I wonder how much we as christians are really aware of our sinfullness in this area.
I think how christians and the church during the 60's were so blind to the issue's blacks faced and the sinfull attidueds toward them.
I remember reading how Deitrick Bonhoffer when visiting the US prior to WWII, how much he was apauled by this.
I think we even forget that christians at that time contributed to much of the sin committed against blacks because of their failure to dicern Gods Spirit and trusted more in themselves, their own belief's...
I wonder, that if we as a whole really listened and discern Gods Spirit what we could do through Him...?
